GOTO Night: Scrum;
Jeff Sutherland: Why you should use Scrum
Jeff is the Co-Creator of Scrum and was a signer of the Agile Manifesto, which marked the start of the Agile movement. He has served as VP of Engineering or CTO at eleven different software companies, managing the last seven entirely using Scrum, and achieved industry-leading, hyper-productive results. At the GOTO Night, Jeff Sutherland will share his experience and answer questions from the audience.
Jens Meydam: The right Time for Design
Jens Meydam is Head of Development at Zahnärztekasse AG in Wädenswil. At the GOTO Night he will talk about: When is the best time to design a feature, or even a whole product? In parallel with implementation, a few sprints ahead, or before the first sprint? While there is probably no right answer for all scenarios, Jens Meydam will give two examples from his work at the Swiss Zahnärztekasse that support what interaction designers and product management experts like Marty Cagan have been preaching for many years: design is best done before implementation. Jens Medam will also argue that this may lead to more, not less, agility, and that this approach is actually in line with recent movements like Lean Startup.
After the Q&A session drinks and snacks will be served.
